Mimes and other things...

Nate and I got asked to be mimes in our church's drama. The music department is putting on this drama called "Elijah". I don't recall reading about mimes in the Bible. Maybe I missed something? I think that everyone should e-mail Nate and tell him what a great mime he would make. Maybe the world is missing out on the next big thing. I think his acting skills have been un-developed, and with a little bit of TLC he could be amazing : )

Well, our life hasn't been terribly exciting. We gardened last weekend. Our yard had been overtaken by weeds, so we attacked it as best we could. It actually was a fun time. We went to a local nursery and purchased flowers, a little mini evergreen, and a mini lilac bush. Our flower bed had become overrun with chives (grr), so we weeded the bed and the stones surrounding it. Then we dug two big holes and planted the bushes. Finally we planted the flowers and laid down mulch. It looks really nice! And, the best part, is that I got to get my hands full of dirt!!!!!! I love getting dirty. Anyone else like me? My husband wears gloves and primly dances around the garden bed. I like to sit in the middle and work with the dirt glove-free. My cuticles are still muddy, but I'm happy.

Anyhow, nothing exciting to report. I've been busy with Russian lessons, choir practices, and work. Life keeps barreling on. Nate and I hit our 11 month anniversary last week. My college roommate got married. My little sister shaves her legs. Aye!

If the Bible had all Mimes it would be a lot shorter. Unless, Mimes are aloud to write what happened.

Maybe if Eve was a mime she would have never talked Adam into eating that apple. But a good mime can express themselves without words. So I guess Adam would have eaten that apple anyway after a good non verbal discussion.
