We leave for Russia this weekend, Saturday night! Crazy!!!!
Anyhow, I had a great weekend. Good times all around. Friday night we went to dinner with three couples. Jeff, Abby, Jay, Tony, Dave, Windy... we went to an Italian place. It was quite delicious!!! Then watched some strange Sci-Fi flick that I wouldn't recommend... called Serenity. Avoid, like the plague!!!! And I usually like Sci-Fi. Oh wait, did I admit that out loud?
Saturday I went to a "Tastefully Simple" party. Try http://www.tastefullysimple.com if you're interested. I ate so much I felt quite close to busting out my seams. I then went shopping at this great store called Stein Mart. I had never heard of it before. It's kind-of like a high class TJ Maxx. I found these really cute and unique skirts and tops for a very reasonable price. : ) Saturday evening Nate cooked me a delicious supper of foccacia bread and crab cakes. We played frisbee and watched a movie to finish out the night.
Sunday we went to church, then threw away our TV. Ha ha, yes you have read correctly. We decided that we had tried TV for a year, and now are going to try a year without it. I think I'll read more, play more games, play outside more. Fun times!!!
Sunday afternoon with met up with some of my parent's friends from IL and their kids. We went to Old Town and ate at the Fish Market. We then went downtown and viewed the monuments at night. I always love going down at night. The lights just make the monuments so beautiful, plus it's cooler so I can walk so much farther without whining!
Oh, we just had our 1 year anniversary. We went to Amish-ville, Lancaster Pennsylvania and spent a weekend relaxing. Nate was such a trooper. I think if marriage has taught him anything, it has been tolerance. He endured my shopping with such patience. I hardly recognized him from the man I first shopped with after we got married : )
Well, I"m going to run to Target and pick up some more Russia stuff. Dahsvidanya!!!!
