There are many things of beauty in this world. I've seen many of them in nature, museums, churches... but I think that some of the most beautiful things to me are those things I find at home.
Take, for instance, this vase... I had commented to Nate, as we were walking home from the grocery store last night, that I had my eye on this lovely vase sitting in an antique store window. We stopped and looked at it, I drooled, we kept walking.
Tonight Nate came home and told me to shut my eyes and open my arms. A little closer together... closer... closer...
Now, the last time Nate told me to shut my eyes and open my arms he had brought me a bag of Cheetos from the army base (BLISS, sheer Bliss, Cheetos oh my!). I was expecting maybe a bag of Doritos, but instead this thing in my arms was HEAVY! I opened my eyes, and lo and behold, there was the beautiful vase we had looked at the night before.
Wow!!!!! My husband actually listened when I was talking!!!! He went into an antique store... for me!!!!
Beautiful.
They also say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well, here folks is the yucca tree we bought at the nearby Plant Market. Ain't she purty?!!!!
[I know that some people have been waiting for a blog about my parents' trip to Stuttgart. Unfortunately, Kodak Gallery has been a bit problematic for me over the last few days so my pictures aren't ready for viewing. As soon as they are, I'll post!]
