Ballet in the Rain

We went to see Sleeping Beauty last night on the grounds of the Schlossgarten. Entrance was free, toilets were free, food was cheap, and the rain came... and poured... and didn't stop.

We watched the ballet (live) the entire time on a huge TV screen. The actual dancing was going on inside the ballet house only a few hundred meters away from us. We could hear the applause roar from all of those normal people who PAID for their tickets and weren't being drenched.

But I like to think that we really enjoyed it more. Nate and I have decided that our German cultural events wouldn't be the same without the rain (chattering of teeth, soaked clothes, etc).

What will 2009 bring?!
