Having fun

Seeing that we haven't taken a trip or done anything spectacularly interesting, I thought I would just post some pictures that we've taken recently... this one is of me at one of my favorite places in Stuttgart (talking to the family with Skype).


On Sunday Nate and I hiked a ways up the outer bowl of Stuttgart to do some reading and relaxing outside. We also used this time of relaxation to try out our new camera (a Nikon D80). We have been wanting a SLR camera for quite some time, but didn't really know if we needed something so expensive or fancy. With the impending arrival of Josella, we decided that now would be a good time to buy a really good camera.


I hate this picture (doesn't my face look like a bowling ball?!!!), but thought it captured well one of the fun things we get to do with the new camera (focusing on an object while the rest of the picture is blurry).


Nate's favorite picture (his back was itching the whole time I was taking it thanks to the roof of the flower). I do so love tormenting my husband!
