My husband is currently on a business trip, so I have found myself spending a lot of time with Jess. Poor girl. Not only Jess actually but also her brand new iMac. Oh the Photobooth on a Mac is so much fun. How else can I get pictures of myself on a rollercoaster, in Paris, and at Yosemite all on the same day?
Yes, Yosemite National Park. Or, YO-ZE-MIGHT National Park. I won't explain the joke, but if you get it, you get it.
I had a midwife appointment yesterday. Everything still seems to be going fine with the pregnancy. I'm really enjoying feeling the little bugger kicking around in there. And, despite the fact that I feel a bit like a whale shuffling around Stuttgart (yes, I know, whales can't shuffle), I do like the look of my stomach in pregnancy shirts. Looking good, feeling good!
HOWEVER, I have a question for you all to ponder... So maybe you actually enjoyed being pregnant, thought it was fun, thought it made you all glowy... BUT... would you be a surrogate mother if asked?
Jess and I were talking about this yesterday. We both agreed that if someone close to us (for example, a sister) couldn't get pregnant but really wanted a baby that we wouldn't even hesitate. Of course we would carry the baby for her.
But what about carrying a baby for a stranger? Jess knows someone that is getting paid $15,000 to carry a baby for a couple from another country. I've heard of people making even more money than that.
Would you do it?

I don't think I could do it. Once the little one appeared I would fall in love and wouldn't want to give it away. Love, Mom
Interesting question, Steph...after having been through it recently, I'd have to agree with Mom. I enjoyed being pregnant, but not quite enough to NOT be able to enjoy the baby...
Glad you're enjoying being pregnant! For the record, I think you're adorable! :D

Steph
what a philosophical dilemma - not really, I would NOT do it - and according to a paper in California I would be able to!!!
