Most mornings I get up and stumble over to the computer. I turn it on and then surf through all of my favorite blogs. Usually by the time I've finished looking at the blogs I'm awake enough to eat breakfast/shower/whatever is on tap for the morning.
As I was looking through the blogs today, I noticed that not too many people had updated their blog. An angry shiver passed through me... how dare they?! Don't they know that people like me want to know all about their personal lives in at least a weekly fashion? Then I realized that I hadn't posted a new blog entry in a while, and I was properly subdued.
I have an excuse though. I was sick. Awfully sick. Strangely sick. I had a great time showing my Aunts around Europe, but after they left it was like my body went into shut-down mode. I had a cold, stomach ache, and could hardly walk thanks to shooting pain in the ligaments below my belly (because the baby is growing a 1/2 pound a week. Poor ligaments.) All of these fun illnesses led to a week of me barely leaving the house. Not totally a bad thing. I was also really tired, and got to catch up on a lot of reading and relaxing. So, I can't really complain (hee hee, at least now that it's over).
I'm starting to feel much better. I still tire easily, and if I move in certain directions my ligaments feel like they're being cut apart with garden shears, but for the most part all is well. Now I can get back to enjoying the last part of my pregnancy. Because really, it is a quite interesting time in my life. Not only do I get to feel the little nutso down there moving around, but also I get to watch the story play out through my shirt.
Nate and I were at a concert on Sunday evening. Second row, right in front of the speakers. At one particularly loud point in the concert I looked down and saw my stomach shaking. It looked kind of like a basketball, bouncing around. I started laughing in disbelief, reached over to show Nate, but of course by then it stopped. So either the baby was loving the music or hating it... who knows!

If your little one is anything like its mother, then he or she was dancing around in there. Love, Mom
