You might have noticed the addition of two new blogs to the side of the page. The first is the new blog from my cousin Mark and his lovely wife Ashley. They are living at UIUC while he is going to vet school and she is working at a dental office. Fun!
The other blog is called Lollipop place and is the store of my 1st-cousin-once-removed (I have a lot of those, strangely enough). She makes these little cloth bags that you can put in your diaper bag to keep things apart. I'm planning to buy one before we go home, or maybe I'll have Mom get me a few for Christmas. Seems very practical.
In other things, I must report that Elena is still incredibly jetlagged. I have never before been so tired, except perhaps in the month after she was born. Our vacation to the States was wonderful, but exhausting, and I was looking forward to refreshment here in Stuttgart. That refreshment has yet to be found, and both Nate and I are feeling ready to crack. Last night she woke up in hour and half hour increments, screaming her head off. I feel so bad for her. She's obviously confused and frightened... but at the same time, I also want to give her copious amounts of sleeping medicine so that I can get some sleep. Bad mother?!
I talked to a doctor today (had an apptmt) and she basically said there's nothing you can do for jetlag but just last it out. I figured as much!!!! Well, until I get some sleep I think I'll have to do some baking. More pizza dough, a new banana bread recipe, and cookies for our "children's day" at church on Sunday. Fun!

Hello there!!Sorry to hear that Elena is still feeling the efects of a long trip!I heard that if you put the baby half an hour later than usual in their crib it helps to cut that crazy changing in time. In your case should be half an hour earlier I think, the doctor told my friend by cutting in half hours it gets better sooner than waiting her own body to come back.
Hope things get back to normal mode soon!
Love!!Roseli
