Sorry

I'm really sorry for not writing much in the blog these days. I guess, like most things, I go in spurts. Actually, I just keep forgetting to write. Elena has been taking decent little naps each day, and mostly I just read a mystery novel to pass the time while she sleeps. It's been a while since I've been able to read, and oh my is it ever nice.

Nothing exciting to report. Maybe that's why I haven't felt the urge to write? Really, the most exciting thing I've done recently is make my own jam. I think that I'm going to head down to the market this morning and buy some more fruit, to make even more jam! Hurrah! If you're wondering why I've been in a jam making craze, our church has a bazaar every year in November. I promised that I'd try making jam to sell at one of the stalls. I made some jam with a friend a few weeks ago, and haven't looked back. Since Elena has started eating a nice big slice of toast with jam for breakfast, we've been using quite a bit of the sugary stuff, and homemade jam is so much better!

Pacifier game. We've been putting her pacifier in our mouth and letting her yank it out and put it in hers. A few nights ago we were laying around and started spitting the pacifier to each other and she'd "chase" it around the room. What fun!
