Anni's First Meal

I've been trying to feed Annika her first meal for about two weeks. We've been so crazy busy that there was just never time to get all four of us in one room, the camera perched, happy smiles, and so on...

I don't know if Anni's going through a growth spurt or what, but last night she woke every three hours, apparently starving. So today I said, FORGET PERFECT MOMENT, and got out the rice cereal. She wasn't a huge fan, big surprise, but my parenting magazine says to try at least ten times before determining that a new food really isn't liked. Try on I shall.

And hopefully. Maybe. She'll sleep a little bit better at night.

In other news, the Fourth of July happened! It did! We were up in Madison for the holiday, and celebrated in Grand Style with the Ramquist family. As usual, we lazed around, just enjoying each other's company for most of the weekend. Ebony and I made two pans of brownies. She ate a brownie. I ate the rest of the pans. And I did take pictures (thankfully none of me eating). You can click over on My Photo Gallery if you'd like to see them.

Stay cool!
