Halloween

Halloween this year was a bit of a bust.  I was more than excited, as we'd had so much fun last year.  But, circumstances change, and we ended up back in the house by 6:45...  the story...

Mom and Katy came over to eat supper and join in the fun.  But even their presence couldn't make up for the fact that Anni had hardly napped that day.  She was already tired during supper.

But, heartless Mommy that I am, I kept pressing on.  I dressed her up in her little bumblebee costume and pushed her out the door.  I stayed home to clean up the kitchen, planning to come out as soon as I was done.

Then I got the phone call... um, Steph, Anni is starting to melt down.  Mom barely made it back to our place.  Anni was screaming, hysterically.  Cough.  Change of plans.  Quick change.  Nurse.  Baby to bed.

Then I received another phone call.  Um, honey, Elena is tired.  She keeps saying that she wants to go home.  WHAT?!!!!!!  I dressed hurridly and raced out the door.  Elena was excited to see me, and made it through three more houses before starting to cry (who knew that talking skulls were so scary?).

So, home again, home again jiggity jig.  And if that wasn't bad enough, I didn't get any pictures of Elena in her princess outfit.  I got these pics the day after, just as the sun was starting to set.  I still think Elena looks cute though.  A bit like a viking princess.  And Anni, well, she's as sweet as honey.  Even if she doesn't like to trick-or-treat.
