The worst part about getting really behind on the blog is that I don't remember the specifics of what we were doing. This is easy, though! I do remember going to the mall with Ebony and Maleki, and carrying him around. We had a blast!
The Madison zoo with cousins Hannah and Ariella! And Mr. Lion.
Carousel! The girls wish very desperately that the Peoria zoo would get their own.
A nice dreary April day for our drive back to Central Illinois!
One Sunday morning Papa was feeling very tired, so I snuck the girls out of the house to Starbucks so he could get uninterrupted sleep. We even ran into Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Timmy!
A trip to the Peoria Zoo is always fun!
When it's a bit more chilly the lion is always moving around more. Love seeing him up close!
Better than seeing the animals is playing on the animal statues. My girls would do this all day.
Princess Anni.
Giving Papa his birthday gift!
I love the look on Zoey's face while the girls jump in their bouncy house. Help!
A trip to the dentist.
A first for Miss Anni.
My babies are getting so big!
And she did great!!! The hygienists were very impressed.
We had time to kill after the appointment, so we headed out to Grand Prairie to walk around. And roar.
And drive some CAT machines.
Elena had over a little boy named Sam from her preschool. They had a great time!
We spend more time at this beach during the off season. We haven't yet swam there this summer! I can't get over all the goose poop.
Nate and I went to the international Beer festival when it came to Peoria. We got to try little samples of all types of beer. Everything from fruity to dark and Belgiany!
We saw some friends there! It was fun to get together, eat appetizers, and sample the beers.
The annual Northern Oaks Easter egg hunt.
This year Elena wasn't afraid of the bunny. Nor was Nate!
Eggs!
Candy!!!
Paulo and Roseli came to town for Dad's retirement party. It was so good to see them again.
Kings of the grill!
YUM!
And what April would be complete without a little snow?
It looks pretty. That's about it!
I took the doggy on many walks out in Mom & Dad's timber.
We were so tired of being cooped up!
Gone hiking.
I can't even remember what Katy and I were doing... but aren't we cute?!
Calling the Ramquists on Easter, while at our Wagenbach Easter! Technology is great! Kent & Mem in Wisconsin, Sara in Washington State, Jeff & Ebony in Minnesota, and Katy and I in Bloomington, IL!
Post-Easter-dinner walk.
It was a tough one.
Easter pic with Papa.
I do love my little family!
Beutel Easter. Always wonderful to be together, listening to Grandpa's stories!
First signs of spring. Asparagus popping out of the ground.
Playing with friends at the park. Because we can!
I did the mini-triathlon near Springfield again this year.
It was kinda horrible, but I survived!
Elena took pictures on my camera while I sweated it out.
My friend Elizabeth came up from St. Louis to do the tri with me.
She shared my sentiments.
But she got third place in her age division, and her very own glass as a medal. I was very jealous!
Rain, rain go away!
This time I took Bella AND Zoey on a romp in the woods. They had a blast!
We went to a drive-in rootbeer stand and ate in the trunk of my car. Making the little moments in life fun!!!
