Indiana Jones

For some reason I have the Indiana Jones theme running through my head.

Dum da dum da, dum da dum, dum da dum da, dum da dum dum dum....

Hey, I am here at work early. Supposedly here to be answering to the whim of a superior who is not here. So I am alone, sipping green tea and basking in the warmth of my little heater.

Last night Nate bought me flowers from Safeway. He arranged them and belted them into my passenger seat. So now I have pretty flowers on my desk at work. A nice yellow sunflower staring me in the face. I love it! I was such a grouch yesterday, but he bought me flowers anyhow. Sweet!

He got me a cactus last week. Hmmm.... was he trying to say something?

Well it is Thursday. I have had a long week. Not working too terribly late, but I have just been feeling very tired. Last night I went to bed at 10pm, but still woke up this morning feeling like I had hardly slept. I think my body is having a hard time recovering from working last Saturday and Sunday. It needs rest.

On a more exhilarating note, I got an e-mail from SAIC yesterday. It appears that the September 17th Six Flags day is on! Whoo hoo! I love rollercoasters! All employees of SAIC get to bring a significant other and themself to Six Flags for $5 a person. Drinks and food are free the whole day! When will Deloitte have a Six Flags day, I wonder? Thank God my husband works for a fun-loving company ; )

And on yet another vein, apparently we will be told our year end raises either today, tomorrow, or Monday. Hmmmm... the last few years have been in the under 5% category, so I'm not feeling too optimistic.

I am off to Starbucks. Time for a morning fix.
