Everybody

Rock your body... Yeah...

Ahem, retreat to Backstreet Boy days, I promise I will never return.

I have a minute here, and thought I would write. Actually, my friend Amy yelled at me to write a new post, so here I am.

Update on my life. Well, this past weekend I had off! Yeah! Friday I slept in, then Nate and I made our way to the Holocaust Museum. It was very interesting, disturbing. Definitely makes you wonder how humanity can sink so low. Genocide? I can't really fathom it, even looking at the pictures and reading about the 6 million-ish Jews who were murdered. I bought a book. The memoir of a survivor called All But My Life. It's horrifying, but I can't put it down.

The museum closed and forced us out, so we walked the streets of DC in search of food. We found it in a little road-side Cafe. Good food, relatively cheap price.

Saturday we made our way to the other side of DC for the SAIC picnic (aka Six Flags extravaganza). It was a great time. Nate and I pretty much just went on water rides the whole time. This one ride was a waterslide that deposited you in this large oil chute looking thing. It's hard to describe it, but it was sorta like a grease dripper. Large round opening at the top, narrowing down to a small funnel at the bottom. Your tube goes flying up the sides of the large opening, back and forth, back and forth until gravity takes you down the small shoot and into the pool at the bottom. Really fun! We listened to some SAIC employees do karaoke by the wave pool, and went on a couple of rollercoasters.

That night we cooked fajitas.

Sunday we went to church. I made my way to a very long gospel choir rehearsal, then we went to a class at church. The class describes the beliefs of the church we're attending. Oh yeah, we became members on Sunday : ) I have never been a member of a church before, and now I'm a Southern Baptist (of sorts!). Hard to believe! We cooked stroganoff that night.

In unrelated news, my Grandma is in the hospital and probably will not be with us much longer. Please be praying for my family, especially my Grandpa as he prepares to say goodbye to his best friend.
