the most exciting thing happened...
we went to minnesota, and somewhere during that trip i began to get the "itch" for decorating...
let me clarify. if you know anything about me and nate, you'll know that our decorating skills are, well, rather limited. my coworker remarked that our house looked like, "a college apartment". ouch. so after the trip, we came home and started moving furniture. probably better things to do when you come home after time spent in airports, but i was motivated.
we moved the couch, the coffee table, the table... around and around... until we had basically moved the table to where the couch was, and the couch to where the table was... i wasn't satisfied, but it was late, so we slept.
i woke up feeling pessimistic, like having an office job had thoroughly drained every bit of creative instinct left in me (and i have fehr blood!!!). but when i came home, everything changed. i moved a lamp, a bookcase, and then... finally... it was perfect.
i've been sitting in the living room, admiring our handiwork for the last few days. the room doesn't look quite so bare and ugly. i think it looks a little more "homey", and the study has a lot more room without the bookcases.
mission accomplished.
and to think, it was all inspired by a trip to see my dear inlaws in MN. thanks again to them. it was another wonderful time of relaxation and laughter. and screams, and cheetah calls while tubing. all i have to say is "LOS GUAPOS AND DOOMETTES FOR LIFE!!!!"
