I may (or may not have) mentioned to you all that Nate bought a pair of Lederhosen a week or so ago. Needless to say, we are both very excited to hit up Stuttgart's "Oktoberfest" when it opens on Saturday. My poor father might just get dragged along. Oh, and yes I do plan to buy a Dirndl to match Nate... but I'm going to wait until next year to buy it. Traditional German gowns cost way too much money to buy a "pregnancy" dress, just to need a new (much smaller, I hope) one next year!

In other news... Jeff, Abby, and Abby's parents came to visit us on Sunday. We took them on a "wine tasting walk" that was going on in the hills right above our house. I don't think that anyone was that fond of the wine, but it was great to be outside on a nice fall day, sipping wine and trying not to fall as we walked up and down slippery cobblestone.
At one point I was carrying Nate's wine glass (full of wine) and I tripped and almost fell backwards (I was walking up stairs). Some lady saw the whole thing and gave me a big, disapproving sort of frown. I think she thought that I was drinking while pregnant. I figured it wasn't worth the explanation!

Such a cute outfit! Barb told me that her kids had those traditional outfits when her brother Harold was in the army in Germany. I guess he sent them these outfits and they are still getting passed around in the family. Love, Mom
