She Eats!
In a fit of, I don't know, tiredness at being Elena's sole food source, I went out and purchased some rice cereal. Elena ate it, tentatively (though the video shows the ending of the feeding, so she doesn't appear too happy).
We brought out the food for the second try (the next night) and, lo and behold, Elena actually leaned out of my arms into Nate's when she saw that he had food in hand. SUCCESS!
I think she probably ate about 50% of what went in, but after the third feeding she actually slept eight hours in a row. Sweet, sweet sleep. And then she took a two hour nap in the afternoon.
I'm in love with rice cereal!
Unless she doesn't sleep well tonight.
My love is fickle.

Awww, Little E is all grown up! Just look at her, sitting up by herself in the Bumbo, eating rice cereal, and even helping guide the spoon in! :D We love you, too, Little E!
How sweet and yes she is growing up. Can't wait to hold her and feed her too. It can't come soon enough. Love, Grandma B.
I think she eats like her mother ate - only thing missing is the "airplanes" swooping in for a mouth (or mund) landing!
