It's a parade!

Last Tuesday was the Fat Tuesday parade in Stuttgart. Nate came home from work just to attend the parade with us. It was a cold, but sunny day, and we enjoyed watching the paraders march by. Well, at least until Elena got tired and the men in their funny masks started scaring her. One man walked up to her to say hi, and she started screaming. He took off his mask to show her that he was human, but the screaming continued! Not a minute later another man came over to say hi, and that was pretty much the end of our parade experience!!! Fun times!

I also have to mention this odd experience I had. I was walking the streets of Stuttgart on no particular day and saw a rather bulbuous Frau with three itty-bitty dogs (like Paris Hilton type dogs) in front of me. I passed her (moving so slowly), and then noticed that one of the dogs was dressed in a little Frenchman outfit (missing a beret though, sad). He looked hilarious. Like a rat dressed up to play. I breezed by him, but then his brother decided that he needed to say hello. Rat number two runs up, yipping and squealing at my heels... dressed like a traffic cone. It was so odd. He had a grey shirt with a bright orange triangle on it. I felt the urge to run him over, as he kept yipping at me, but I surpressed it.

I then looked back, and this woman wasn't even noticing her dog harrassing me. She was too busy talking lovingly to the third rat in her arms. She was cooing, and the dog was barking back, just as lovingly. Look, I understand loving your pets (has anyone seen my Dad with Bella?!), but honestly?!!!
