Sky diving

Elena's babysitter (the girl on the far right) has Multiple Sclerosis. Our church did a fundraiser one Sunday in order to raise money for MS research in the UK (She's British!). As part of the fundraiser, Karin, her Mom Julie, and Sister Becky, agreed that they would do a skydive.

In Julie's words, they wanted to experience something that they were completely afraid of, so that they could feel how Karin does when a new MS episode hits her and she is afraid. Well, she said it better than that, but I hope you get the picture.

So, Elena and I joined them at Skydive Nuggets for a day of free falling, but ultimately, a day of experiencing love between mother and daughters.

I took pictures during the day, which I have posted on my photo website. Feel free to take a look. I think that these ladies are incredibly brave, and that Karin is very bravely facing her illness. I sincerely hope that they find a cure, and fast, because Karin should have many beautiful, fear free years in front of her, if I have anything to say about it!
