I know that I've already posted this picture, but I haven't the energy to get any new pictures up on the blog today. I think they're all still in the memory card of my video camera.
I just wanted to write and remark that I am ready to have a baby. I don't think I'll ever be ready for the pain of labor, but I am most assuredly ready to be over the whole pregnant part.
Nate and I were talking on our drive home this evening about how it has seemed that this pregnancy has lasted forever. It started out somewhere in Europe, spanned a move home, a settling in period, and normal life in Central Illinois. It has watched Elena grow from a little wobbly walker to a toddler that sprints up and down the stairs, runs circles, and howls with delight when her Daddy does just about anything with her.
So yeah, I think it's time. Nika, you can come anytime sweetie. We're not really looking forward to the lack of sleep you bring, but we are looking forward to meeting you, touching those little hands and feet, and breathing in that baby smell. Mmmmmmmmm.... sour milk and poo! As your big sister would say... DELICIOUS!

We are ready too!! Love, Mom B.
Stephanie and Nate: Looking forward to the next great grandniece...I'm sending all of the midwifery energy I can muster toward your way...for a birth that is safe and satisfying and very much the way you have planned. Lots of warm thoughts from me are with you all.
