Hey peoples I am back in Illinois for a weekend!!! That's right, staying in one of those Chicago neighborhoods, living the high life. Well, maybe not living the high life, but last night I ate some of Nate's stir fry leftovers and they were quite delicious. Nearly restaurant quality : )
I had the most horrible week at work. Another staff person and I were charged to do all sorts of menial tasks at this new client. I drove 45 minutes out to their office, only to be assigned to copying and putting papers in order for a binder. My binder was quite magnificent and was dubbed "the rainbow warrior" for its brightly colored separators. But I think that the other Deloitte people were just trying to appease my frustrated self by making my work seem important. Perhaps it sounds snotty, but I feel like these sort of jobs make my education (and massive student loans) quite worthless. However, the week is over, I have learned how to unclog paper jams out of multiple copy machines, and I have a firm grasp on various sorts of 3 hole punchers. I guess it was some sort of learning experience.
After that long week, it was a relief to step on the plane to Chicago. I was late by only a shocking 45 minutes (thank you O'Hare, what a marvelous airport). Nate picked me up and we took mass transportation back to his apartment. I got my birthday present 6 days early! I am now the proud owner of a lovely Swiss watch : )
We have plans to go ice skating at Millenium Park, meet up with some of my friends from school, and meet up with Nate's parents for dinner. I also want to eat some Korean food before I leave this town. We shall see.
I hope everyone out there has as lovely a weekend as I plan to have in CHICAGO (imagine that guy with the Frank Sinatra kinda voice singing that for me!).

You know what they say when a man gets a woman a watch in the Apostolic church...
By the way, is Nate the guy with the "Frank Sinatra" like voice?

Love,
Auntie
