I really have no purpose for writing this entry other than the fact that I haven't written in a few days.
My Thanksgiving was quite nice. And here I thought that my family had the copyright on good food. Apparently not, as I had quite a few good meals in Seattle. I think one of my favorites had to be eating cheese straight out of the bin with a freshly baked French Baguette at Pikes' Market. Then topping it all off with some gelatto (chocolate and strawberry). One of my best experiences had to be pretending to be the Titanic people at the back of the Bainbridge Island ferry. I think Nate's agreement to do it with me, coupled with my own embarassment at doing it, the lake water spraying up in the cold air, and the best view I had of Seattle made it the experience it was. Hanging out with Nate's relatives was also really fun. They definitely inspired me: one family consisted of a business genius and athletic cool mom, and the other family a group of returned Japanese missionaries. Not to mention Nate's own family... buying me peppermint hot chocolate (Starbucks) over and over again, and letting me to go REI (oh the bliss!).
I'm looking forward to this weekend. This will be one of the first weekends since I arrived on the East Coast that I will not have a visitor and I will not be gone!!! I'm looking forward to grocery shopping, raking leaves, in general doing what I please. This weekend will be all about ME!!!!! Call me selfish, call me what you will, but I'm definitely ready for some Stephanie time.
