Wow, did I ever have a response from my last blog. I didn't realize people ever read this thing : )
No, I am not suicidal or even highly depressed.... just a little frustrated. But all is well. I had a splendid weekend. My dear brother Gregory came to visit me. We had a great time. Friday we went grocery shopping and made ourselves a lovely dinner. Chicken (in a bag!), rice, corn on the cob.... mmmmmm... good stuff. EDIT 4/27/05 Greg, Jeff, Abby, and I did go Rock climbing on Friday night. Greg made it up a backward-sloping 5.7 wall, which was very impressive for his first try at climbing. It was quite a fun time, and Greg acquired a lovely Sportrock t-shirt and quite a few screaming muscles : )
Saturday morning we got up early and hiked at Great Falls. It was really muddy, but still nice. Then we went to Olive Garden and got my ever favorite Soup & Salad for $5.95. Our next trip was to Arlington Cemetery. We went to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, to the Arlington House (General Lee's old house), the Kennedy graves (eternal flame), and admired a very lovely tree with a spread I have never seen before. It's branches just didn't want to stop. Very cool. Then we took off for the Eastern Market. I got a cannoli, we admired the fresh produce and handicrafts, then stopped at a sidewalk Cafe and shared a raspberry tart. Mmmmmm, it was awesome. We metroed back to my place and Greg napped while I cleaned. He said that I was just practicing for the future. Future wives for GB should beware! Later we went over to Jeff & Abby's for some Guiness Stew and conversation. Then we watched the Incredibles --- great movie.
Sunday we went to church, picked up Nate from the airport, ate some Korean food at Yechon (great!), ran errands --- we also went to REI and once again didn't buy anything because that place is so cool but so expensive. We grilled out later and chatted with Jeff and Abby. Very relaxing day.
All in all I think I've decided that weekends are too short!!! It seems like there is never enough time to do all the things I want to do and yet still relax and re-charge. But I guess I should just be thankful that I'm not working weekends anymore!
News on the Deloitte front: three people have quit in the last two weeks... who is next?!!!
News on the Nate front: he made me a Creative Memories card with a heart on the front. What is that they say about women making men do crazy things? I never would have pictured Nate before with a stencil, but it is cute!
News on the Me front: I'm hoping to take these classes offered by my county. I want to take Spanish 1. Practice up for Puerto Rico : )
News on the Mom front: I think she's panicing. In happy news for her, after Sheila she probably has a while until Katy will ever be married!
News on the AC Church front: this girl from church is marrying a guy from Japan. She gets to move abroad. I'm jealous! Maybe I can get Nate to move to Korea... hmmm....
Guess I should do more work! Yay Deloitte!

Why on earth would you want to move to Korea? You would miss your family SOOOOO much more than you already do.....glad you had a nice weekend with Gregory Peck.--love, Auntie
Sorry Steph, Korea is definetely NOT a weekend trip! BTW you forgot the most important thing we did on Friday night -- ROCK CLIMBING! It was very fun and challenging. I kinda thought Steph was crazy before I tried it, but it was great. Only down side of the weekend was the lack of soda at the Ramquist residence and the mediocre flights (I hate prop planes). The weekend was great!
Love Gregy
i want to go rock climbing some time steph.
