That's What I Love About Sunday

I love Sundays. First of all, I love going to church. I love dressing up, or dressing down, I can really do either that I feel like... I love singing, listening, and just absorbing the reverent atmosphere. Mostly I love being in the presence of God with my husband sitting beside me. We hold hands when we pray, and it makes me feel closer to him and to God.

I love leaving church and heading home for lunch. Today we heated up our Costco deluxe pizza. It was huge. Took two cookie sheets to hold it. 15 minutes. 425 degrees. Ahhhh, melty cheese and yummy pizza goodness.

I love rock climbing. We usually do something athletic/active on Sunday. Today it was rock climbing. Jeff, Abby, Elisha (friend from college visiting), Nate, and I headed out to our local gym for a "rocking" good time. Pardon the bad pun. I climbed a short 5.7, tall 5.7, tall 5.8, and part of a short 5.8 (I got tired). Then we did a bit of boldering.

I love cooking. After rock climbing I felt the urge to cook. So Nate and I whipped up some chicken enchiladas and banana bread. During busy season I never get to cook, so I think Sunday will have to be my "kitchen" day. We didn't actually eat the food, just put it into Tupperware and the fridge. I can't wait to eat the Enchiladas for lunch tomorrow.

I love relaxing. We went over to Jeff and Abby's for some of Jeff's famous Guiness Stew. It is a hearty stew with meat, potatoes, carrots, and of course, Guiness beer. Yum! We then sat on the couch and watched a movie on TV. Not too exciting, I know, but nice to relax.

I love my husband. After Jeff and Abby's we came back and put my banana bread in the oven. Then we played frisbee out in our front yard until it got too dark to see each other. He's eating ice cream now, and I think I'm going to go unload the dishwasher.

Life is good.
