Ants and other things...

So it never gets cold here. I'm not quite sure why. Yet again today it is about 50 degrees outside! It is the beginning of February! It isn't raining, it isn't snowing, it's just sunny out every single day! Now, normally I would be very happy about this. BUT, since Nate and I have a hideous ant infestation at our house, the chilly weather is a welcome respite for my sanity (possibly a bad use of the word respite, but oh well, you get the picture). When it's cold outside, the ants do not invade our bathroom. My toothbrush, and various other elements are left alone. However, the second that it warms back up, the little ants come marching back out in lines, ready to eat whatever it is they seem to like in the bathroom! Seriously, what goodies do you get in a bathroom? Nothing sweet!

I'm all about getting an exterminator in the spring, perhaps earlier. I think Nate is ready to cough up the money too. It's no wonder our landlord has a clause in the contract about how he will not pay any exterminator expenses!

Okay, enough ranting. Last weekend was nice. Becca (one of Nate's friends from Rockford), came into town on Saturday. We took her hiking in Great Falls -- such a beautiful place, even in winter -- and out to dinner at a little hole in the wall called Cafe Monti. Cafe Monti says that it makes "Italian Austrian" food. Hmmm... my veal scalloppini was really good, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their food also. Sunday, we went to the coolest thing at our church. A professional violinist, and his prima ballerina wife, and apprentice ballerina daughter came and did a show for us. He plays his violin alone in some songs, and in others his wife and daughter dance to the music. Everything had an Israeli theme. It was really cool. He's performed all over the world (he is from the Soviet Republic of Georgia), in big halls of which I am forgetting the names, and yet we got to see him for free at church! Amazing! I loved the music, but Nate was mostly impressed by the flexibility of the ballerinas ; )

Last night Nate and I played raquetball with my co-worker and his wife again. We've been playing weekly, usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. For the first time, my body seemed to be "getting" it-- in other words, I didn't make a complete fool of myself, just a partial fool. I had a lot of fun, and felt like I was getting some good exercise. If you haven't played raquetball yet, it's great! Go rent a court and get your lazy rump into gear ; )

Well, I'll have you know, your OLD Auntie has been getting off her rump lately and working out at Curves 2-3 times a week:-)

I'll have you know that your little brother HASN'T been getting off his rump but has great plans for the early spring or very late winter to start playing tennis and biking to work and hoping to work off about half of his big rump. By the way, why all the references to rump? How vulgar.
