Holding Breath

Not sure if I've written about this, but we've been struggling with Elena and sleeping... mostly because she hasn't wanted to sleep unless someone was holding her in some fashion. We tried the crib, the car seat, the couch, everything we could think of, and nothing worked. You can probably imagine how exhausting it is, never getting a break from having her in your arms, on your chest, or wherever she sleeps best at the moment.

Mom decided to keep on trying her in the crib, and finally yesterday she took about a 20 minute nap there. We were ecstatic! And then... later on in the evening, I think she slept there about 45 minutes. Wow!

The real excitement came last night when she slept in the crib for approximately two hours for Mom, and for about an hour and a half for Nate. She slept next to me, in our bed, for about two hours as well.

We are all holding our breath, hoping that it isn't a fluke. She just turned three weeks yesterday, so perhaps our little girl is growing up?!!!

NOTE: Elena got the beautiful blanket in the picture from her Great Grandpa and Grandma Wagenbach. She looks so darling wrapped up in it!

NOTE: I added a few more pictures to the photo gallery. Take a look!

Hang in there! I know the first little while is exhausting, but it gets better. I promise!
