REM

Yesterday I was taking a nap with my babe and I woke up first. I laid there in bed, watching her eyes roll and twitch wildly. I think that's called REM sleep. She looked so sweet and peaceful, I just felt my heart welling up with love for her. Then, she let out this massive snort. It sounded like a bull had just charged through the bedroom door. I started. I waited for her to wake up. But she didn't. One of the beauties of baby sleep, I guess. I can make the smallest noise in the kitchen while she's napping, and she wakes up from a (short) nap. But she can make the most-unladylike-snort-known-to-man in her sleep, and just keep on snoozing away.
