My Mother is such a nag, so I'm writing a new blog post despite the fact that Elena is whining and tugging on my leg.
Life has been relatively normal, normal for having Dad in town anyways! He came into Stuttgart last Friday and we hung out for the rest of the day. Dad and I actually got a chance to go to lunch together, which was really nice. We left early Saturday morning to visit family in Wuestenrot. I had written Rose and Hilde and told them that a "Mystery Guest" was coming, but apparently they weren't surprised that it was Dad. Rose told me that, "Dean always travels to Europe in September." Ahh, well, I tried.
We ate out lunch, visited their newly completed church, and then visited a few families before heading home.
Dad left for his business after church on Sunday, and we continued on to Ludwigsburg. Peter, Bettina, Magdalena, and Sara met us at the palace to visit a Pumpkin Exhibition. The show was devoted to fairytales this year, which was really cool. Of course, the highlight for me was all of the pumpkin themed food. For a region that is really known for its inflexibility, the Schwabians went all out with the pumpkin theme. We even had Maultaschen in Pumpkin soup. Whoa!!!
I've put some pictures of the weekend into My Photo Gallery, if you'd like to take a look.
The week was normal. Elena and I adjusted to being a group of two all over again, since Sara left on Saturday. We spent one afternoon in a park, sipping tea, eating cake, and watching people pass by. Nice, oh so nice.
And now, here we are at Friday again. My Dad is back in town. He's sitting back in the bedroom, doing email. We don't really have anything planned, but that's alright. Sometimes 'nothing' is good for what ails you.

Sorry for nagging but you really must keep up with things! Ha ha! Cute, very cute pics! Love, Mom
Great pictures! You know what's funny...you ate more pumpkin foods than we did, and we even went to the Pumpkin Festival one night in Morton! And you definitely saw more pumpkins than we did. Maybe Morton needs to step it up a bit? :)
