January - part 2

At some point I realized that it's nearly April... so I'd best finish up on January, huh?!

Elena wanted to see the movie Frozen... again...

So we took Nora with us to the Morton cinema.  And had a lot of fun!  Popcorn and soda and movies, oh my!

And then, just a few short hours later, I left for a mini-vacation to Maine!

My dear friend Jess had twins about a month before, and I thought I'd come out and visit, and be helpful and all that stuff.

We did a lot of staying home and hanging out, but also made it out to a restaurant or two.

Puzzles on a blustery day.

Late night shenanigans!

Someone misses Mommy!

Oh my word, these two are just two cute.

Looks like my oldest missed me too!

A trip to Maine is never complete without a trip to the Hanna Anderssen Outlet store!

Twins in restaurants = lots of stares!

Oh, and I couldn't leave Maine with out a lobster roll!

Doctor's visit.  And then I hopped on a train, headed to Boston!

I met up with Stacy, one of my college roommates, and despite a nasty storm, made it out to a fabulous restaurant.  The mussels were one of the best parts of the meal!

Spring rolls.... mmmmmmm!

Curried shrimp!

Salmon and Stacy.

We laughed so hard over the two days we had together.  Some things never change.

Elephant love.

Memories of college.

Some not so pleasant memories!

One of the perks of big city living.  Fresh bakery items as often as you'd like!  And you don't even have to make them yourself!

Thug life.

My trip ended with a stay at Jeff & Abby's house.

They know me well, and took me out for Korean food.

For some reason, I got no pictures with them.  But I did get a selfie in a dressing room.  Abby and I did some shopping (of course!)

On the flight home, whom should I see but my Dad in the Atlanta airport!  We ended up being on the same flight home.

And coming home meant that it was time to go and get our dog.

Welcome home, Zoey Ramquist!

Zoey followed me very closely during her first few weeks at our house.

She never wanted to leave my side.

Elena's friend, Carys was celebrating a birthday, so we met up at Starbucks for a celebratory cake pop!

Miss Sarah and my little cake pop.  I'd eat those cheeks any day!

Aunt Katy came over several times to hang out with Zoey!

And a little winter sledding.  The girls loved it!
