January - Part One!

How is it that we are already in March?  Whew.  As the saying goes, the days go slowly but the years fly by!

On our way home from the Ramquist Christmas we stopped in at the American Family hangar and took a tour of their new airplane (otherwise known as "Opa's plane.")

It was seriously ritzy!

Future pilot?  I'm hoping for doctor or chiropractor, but we'll see!

These chairs had built in massagers.  Um.  Yes.

and then we got home.  To beat the doldrums, we re-arranged a few things.  Now we have a coffee station!

And more snow....

Our girls got really into face painting.

A little tiger pack.  The best one around!

I love seeing them actually playing with the things they got for Christmas!

Lest we forget the Polar Vortexes that plowed over us this winter, I feel compelled to show you how drinks turned out while stored in our "second fridge."  We've been using our garage as a fridge ever since we moved here, but this winter was just too cold.  Even the beer froze!  Beer slushie anyone?!

Mid-January we decided to finally paint our kitchen.  No more green and scours brown!

The girls beloved Mr. Steve, taking care of business.

And then it happened, we went to a Foster shelter in Kewanee and looked at a dog (pitbull mix).

Afterwards we stopped at a local restaurant to chat about the dog.  Mommy and the girls were smitten with puppy (1.5 years) Zoey.  Papa was not.  Who do you think won?!

One of many snow men.

Warming up after being out in the snow!  Have I mentioned that I love this man?!

I tried to get Dad to do a yoga video with me.  I think we made it through 10 minutes before he declared it worthless!  Ha!

Sheila got a new job!  She now works at Eli's coffee in Tremont.  It's so fun to visit and see her smiling face, although I think she's never made me a drink.  Whether or not she's a good drink-maker is still up for debate!  ;)
