August, 2014

One of our favorite things to do in the summer.  Play disc golf!

And if we can play it with friends, even better!

A little post-disc golf ice cream at Bob's Dairy Dream!

And then my dear friend Sarah came back into town.  She's pointing at that shirt because I got it for her, either that or she loves me.  Ha!

Friends 4-Ever!

As school was about to start, Mary and I took Nora and Elena on the traditional pre-Kindergarten trip away.

We went to St. Louis, MO to go to an American girl store!  We had "tea" with their dollies!

Sweethearts!

Elena's doll even got her hair done.

A little CPK.

These sweet cousins love each other so much.

Lazy evening in.  Unfortunately the indoor pool was closed, so we had to settle with television.

The next day we went to the Magic House!  It was basically a gigantic (and awesome!) children's museum.

The girls wrote poetry.

Learned to drive.

and performed a spooky play.  What an amazing time we had!

Anni just being cute!

We took advantage of the fine weather by eating out on the deck as often as possible.

Back to the zoo!

Feeding the birds in the Australian exhibit is always a favorite.

Balance beam.

And here we are, killing time while Daddy plays soccer.  The girls got a little tired of the games by the end of summer, but still mostly enjoyed watching Nate play.

It was in August that we moved the girls into the same bed.  They absolutely love it!  Elena doesn't have as many bad dreams now, and I love listening to them chatter at night before they fall asleep.

Lovin' on Auntie Dyvan, Diamond, or Diane.  Whichever name you prefer!

Another awesome Auntie!

Oh, and another!!!!  My girls are certainly blessed!

We watched Lincoln one evening, and had a blast!

lol.  Those kiddos!

Lincoln loved this until he thought we were actually going to make him sleep!

Movie night with Daddy!

And..... occasionally we visit Nate at Bosch just to bring him some Starbucks or food.  We love walking around the lake and checking out the swans.
